Education:
- Completed an Advanced
Training Designation in E-Commerce Development at Ryerson Polytechnic
University on weekends from September 2001 to July 2002. The training
covered HTML, DHTML, JavaScript, CSS, ASP, PHP, Perl, JSP, XML, Flash,
Access, MySQL, IIS, Apache, site security, and server administration.
- Completed a 3-day
intensive Active Server Pages training course at XtraNet in March of
2001.
- Attended the University
of Toronto in the Computer Science Program from September 1999 to December
2000, learning programming theory and creating applications with Java
and Unix C. Left this program to pursue a full time job in web development.
- Attended Reinhardt
College in Waleska, Georgia, in 1998-99, on a one-year full scholarship
awarded to me by the Georgia Rotary Student Program and was named to
the Dean's List.
- Graduated with
honours from Uxbridge Secondary School, earning the Ontario Secondary
School Diploma and Bilingualism Certificate, in June, 1998.
Personal Achievements:
- Elected as the
Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity's Fraternity Educator and was then elected
as President to complete the 2001-02 school year when the previously
elected President resigned.
- Awarded Brother
of the Year and Officer of the Year for the Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity
for the 2000-01 school year.
- Elected as the
Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity's Recruitment Chairman, and the General
Fraternity Association's Vice President for the 2000-01 school year
and I was elected the Social Convener for my floor in Residence in the
1999-2000 school year.
- Chosen as one of
87 international students to attend university in Georgia, USA, on a
one-year scholarship through the Georgia Rotary Student Program.
- Elected Vice-President
of my high school's student activities council for the 1997-98 school
year.
- Chosen to represent
the Rotary Club of Uxbridge in the International Interact Bike Ride
for the 1997 Rotary International Convention in Glasgow, Scotland.
- Earned the Chief
Scout's Award (highest award in Scouts) and I am presently completing
the Duke of Edinburgh Award
