Waggitt name database

While researching my mother's maiden name I became intrigued with the WAGGITT name. As I looked up different events related to me I started jotting down all mention of the name no matter what the spelling. As my collection increased I decided to start up a database to keep it straight. Well it just grew from there.
I tried to contact as many people as possible to both collect information and to share what I had. In the process I have met many wonderful people.

This database is only a means to help. Recheck the civil registration numbers yourself as some of the writing was terrible and where it was too bad I put a question mark but alas my reading of the numbers may have been wrong. It will however put you in the right year hopefully.

I live in Canada and have a very busy life outside genealogy. When I'm not sure of a location I write down what I know and usually leave the rest blank if I haven't found time to sort out the where or what as the names are not that familiar to me. One kind lady pointed out to me that I had Hexham in Durham !! Mistakes happen but I've found it to be an amazing resource for my own research.

Please remember that the spelling of the last name matters so little. I had one relative have his name spelt four different ways between baptism and death which is why the list is by given name first.

If you see a reference to a will and it has a # after it, I have a copy of the will, if not I only have it on a list.

If you find your relatives and there is a reference, email me and I will put you in touch. I try to get a snail mail address as well as they don't tend to change as often.

PLEASE send me any information you have that might clarify general entries or material you would like to share.
And please ask questions if you think I might have more info than just what is on the list.

Happy hunting !
